Conscious Connected Breathwork one on one facilitation.
The breath is the one body process that bridges the gap between the conscious and unconscious mind. By becoming more mindful of the breath we can connect our minds and our bodies and begin to reintegrate our whole being.
What is Breathwave and Conscious Connected Breathing?
Conscious Connected Breathing involves breathing in a connected circular rhythm. Breathwave is a gentle self healing practice of integrative medicine where we focus on the breath flowing in an open and relaxed continuous wave. As a facilitator I will encourage you to drop the work out of breathwork as you learn to get out of your own way on your path to healing.
Benefits
Connecting the breath can result in regulating and calming the nervous system. It can increase your resilience and ability to navigate difficult emotions. It can help to calm the mind and bring clarity and focus. It can help to connect you more fully to your body and its signals. It can increase self awareness and self confidence. It may improve your sleep and your physical health and wellbeing.
How Does it work?
We can go for weeks without food, days without water but no more than a few minutes without breathing. The lungs provide vital oxygen to our bodies and eliminate toxins produced. Connected breathing can balance the oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the bloodstream. Conscious deep breathing can increase the strength and effectiveness of the diaphragm, assisting in lymphatic circulation and oxygen absorption. Positive mental and emotional shifts can occur as frontal cortex activity increases. Relaxation and ease can increase as your parasympathetic nervous response increases.
What is required?
An open mind and willingness to make changes in your life.
What does a breath session look like?
We will open the session with confirming consent and ensuring you are comfortable. Then we will open a discussion of intention and current issues that you may want to work though. The breathing will then begin with an invitation to settle into the space and relax. As the session continues I may offer spoken guidance, hands on facilitation and affirmations. The breathing portion will end with a relaxation and integration phase. Afterwards you may choose to discuss your experience or ask questions or you may want to integrate on your own. The whole session may take about an hour and a half.

“I did an individual breathwork session with Jenna and the guidance I received made me feel comfortable to let my guard down and fully embrace the experience. Once into the rhythm of the practice I would describe my overall experience as a heightened mind body connection. At times I felt pretty intense emotion and at other points I was more aware of physical sensations throughout my body. As the session progressed my experience became more of unity throughout my being rather than isolated sensations in the mind and body. The entire experience was unexpected for me and I was surprised by the range of sensations I encountered in a relatively short time. I left feeling lighter and with a clear mind.”

“Breathwork with Jenna has been life changing. Jenna made me feel very comfortable in her space and guided me into a meditation deeper than I have ever experienced. She helped me to realize how shallow my breath is normally and how much I clench my jaw. The sessions I had with her have made me more mindful of these things during my day to day and I can now take a moment to nurture myself with the ways she has taught me. I would recommend to anyone who has been suffering with the after effects of trauma in their bodies.”
