Reiki is an energy healing practice.
Energy healing is a form of deep rest and reconnection with the body. Gentle and non invasive, the sessions help release blocked energy and restore balance in the mind and body.
What is Reiki?
The name comes from the Japanese words Rei (universal) and Ki (life energy.) Practitioners use a gentle hands on technique to channel healing energy to the receiver. This energy encourages physical and emotional healing in the recipient.
What is required?
An open mind and willingness to heal.
How does it work?
When our life energy or Ki is blocked it may manifest in physical pain or discomfort, organ malfunctions, disease, mental issues or distress. Reiki works to release the blocked energy to restore balance and encourage healing and increased health from within the body.
What does a Reiki session look like?
We will open the session with confirming consent and ensuring you are comfortable. Then we will open a discussion of current physical or mental issues that you may want to work though. You will lie comfortably on a table with closed eyes while the treatment progresses. The practitioner will move around the table to access the areas most in need of attention with gentle touch. Afterwards you may choose to discuss your experience or ask questions or you may want to integrate on your own. The session time can be customized to your need but is typically 1 hour.
